Trade Terms
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Draft — under legal review. Not yet in effect for live payments.
These terms apply to businesses ("you", the "Company") that register on Kabodo to receive quote requests from customers. Kabodo is operated by [not yet provided] (ABN [not yet provided]) ("we", "us"). They apply in addition to the general Terms of Use. You confirm you are registering for business purposes.
1. Registration and approval
You must give accurate business details, including a valid ABN, and keep them up to date. We review every registration and may approve, refuse or suspend a Company at our discretion, acting reasonably. Changing your details sends your registration back for review.
You are responsible for holding any licence, registration and insurance required for the work you quote on, and for complying with the law (including the Australian Consumer Law and any home building laws) in your dealings with customers.
2. Monthly plan and wallet
To receive jobs you subscribe to a monthly plan of $200, $300, $400 or $500 (Australian dollars, including GST). Payments are made monthly by card through Stripe and renew automatically.
Minimum term: 12 months from the date your plan starts, paid monthly. The plan cannot be cancelled online during the minimum term. [LAWYER: what happens if a Company wants to leave early — any early-exit fee must be reasonable and clearly disclosed.]
Each monthly payment is added to your wallet as credit. Unused credit rolls over to the following month. Credit has no cash value and is used only for job fees on Kabodo. [LAWYER: treatment of unused credit when the plan ends, is cancelled or the Company is suspended — refund, expiry or carry-over.]
If a payment fails, you cannot accept new jobs until it is paid.
3. Jobs and fees
We invite the nearest eligible Companies to each job (up to 10 at a time; more if fewer than 3 accept within 4 hours). Being invited does not guarantee a job.
Up to 3 Companies can accept each job. When you click "Accept job", the job fee is deducted from your wallet: under 8 cabinets $20; 8–15 cabinets $30; over 15 cabinets $50. Fees may change; changes apply to jobs sent after the change and are shown before you accept.
If the job already has 3 Companies, is closed or cancelled when you click, you are not charged. If the customer cancels the request before choosing a Company, your fee for that job is refunded to your wallet.
Accepting gives you the customer's full design so you can quote. It does not guarantee the customer will choose you. Fees are not refunded because a customer chose another Company or did not proceed.
4. Customer information
You receive a customer's name, phone number and email only if the customer chooses your quote. You must use customer information and designs only to quote for and carry out that job, keep them secure, and comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) where it applies to you. Do not contact customers for unrelated marketing, and do not share their information or designs with others.
5. Quotes and your work
Quotes must be genuine, in Australian dollars including GST, and based on the design provided (subject to your on-site check). Any contract for the work is between you and the customer; we are not a party to it.
You are responsible for your work and your dealings with the customer. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your work or your breach of these terms, to the extent caused by you.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove a Company that gives false details, misuses customer information, receives serious or repeated complaints, or breaches these terms. We will tell you why. [LAWYER: wallet credit and remaining minimum-term payments on suspension or termination.]
7. General
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded by law.
We may change these terms with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes do not increase your plan price during your current minimum term.
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. Contact: [not yet provided].
