These terms apply when you use Kabodo (the "Service"), operated by [not yet provided] (ABN [not yet provided]) ("we", "us"). The Service lets you design a kitchen or other cabinetry online and request quotes from independent companies. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. Companies that receive jobs through the Service also agree to the separate Trade Terms.
1. The Service is free for customers
Designing, saving your designs and requesting quotes are free for customers. We earn our income from fees paid by the companies that receive jobs.
The Service is a design and introduction tool. Designs, dimensions and cabinet counts are estimates to help you plan; they are not a measure-up, a quote or manufacturing instructions.
2. Requesting quotes
When you request quotes, we send a summary of your job (type of work, number of cabinets, suburb and postcode, timing, budget and your notes) to approved companies near you. Up to 3 companies can accept your job. Companies that accept can see your full design so they can quote.
Your name, phone number, email address and street address are not shared with companies until you choose one. Do not put contact details in the notes.
If fewer than 3 companies accept, we keep inviting more companies for up to 30 days. You can cancel a request at any time before you choose a company.
3. Choosing a company
You can choose one quote for each request. When you choose, we give that company your name, phone number and email address so they can contact you, and we show you their phone number and email. Other companies are told you chose someone else.
Any contract for the work is between you and the company you choose. We are not a party to it, we do not do the work, and we do not guarantee any company's quote, price, timing, quality, licence or insurance. Before you sign or pay, check the company's details (for example their ABN, licence and insurance) and get a written contract.
Companies are checked when they register (business details and ABN), but approval is not a recommendation.
4. Your account
You must give accurate details, including a valid mobile number, and keep your password secret. One account per person.
You must be at least 18 years old.
Do not use the Service to send false requests, to contact companies for any purpose other than your job, or to collect companies' details.
5. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from work done (or not done) by a company you choose, or from relying on a design or estimate without an on-site check.
6. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version; if a change is significant we will tell you by email.
